Halton

Marlo is the Director of OAPCE Halton and has a child that attends a school in the Halton Catholic District School Board. She is not only an advocate for Catholic Education but has also served on her Catholic School Parent Council for seven years. Marlo was also a lunch time supervisor for the HCDSB for four years. Over the years even going back to a student once herself she has volunteered as a Catechist and Children’s Liturgy Instructor within the Hamilton Diocese and Arch Diocese of Toronto. To this very day she is involved and volunteers within her Parish. Her most memorable experiences about being Catholic include making her sacraments and being a Youth Leader at World Youth Day 2002 here in Toronto. She also made the Pilgrimage to The Jubilee World Youth Day at the Vatican back in 2001. Now with many trips since to Italy she always makes sure she has a visit to The Vatican on her itinerary. Marlo has always dedicated her time to various causes, but she would say her time as a Mentor at Covenant House Toronto was the most humbling and inspiring. She is now raising her family in the Catholic faith and community. Marlo is a well seasoned event planner with many years of not only event planning but also fundraising experience. She planned and executed many of the Greater Toronto/ Hamilton areas largest & exclusive events/ galas. Currently Marlo serves as a Youth Minister for the Hamilton Diocese serving at a large parish within Halton following her heart.
