Prayer of Thanksgiving for a Successful Start to the School Year
Heavenly Father,
With grateful hearts, we thank You for bringing us safely and successfully to the beginning of this new school year.
Thank You for guiding our children through their first days back at school. Thank You for the smooth transition, the new routines, the welcoming classrooms, the friendships being renewed and formed, and the many blessings that have made this beginning a good one.
We are grateful for our Catholic schools and for the teachers, principals, staff, and volunteers who have worked so faithfully to prepare for this school year. Bless them for all they have done to create a safe, caring, and faith-filled environment for our children.
Lord Jesus, we thank You for watching over our children as they have returned to their classrooms. May the positive beginning of this school year continue throughout the months ahead. Give our children enthusiasm for learning, kindness toward one another, courage when they face challenges, and a growing love for You.
As parents, we thank You for the privilege of walking alongside our children in their education and faith. Help us to continue supporting them with patience, encouragement, prayer, and love.
May the good beginning we have experienced be a sign of Your continued blessing throughout this school year. Keep our children safe, help them grow in wisdom and virtue, and draw them ever closer to Christ.
We place this school year into Your loving hands and give You thanks for the many blessings already received.
