Welcome Back to a New School Year
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we begin a new school year, the Ontario Association of Parents in Catholic Education (OAPCE) extends a heartfelt welcome to all students, families, educators, and parish communities across Ontario’s Catholic schools.
The start of a new school year is filled with excitement, hope, and opportunity. It is a time to renew friendships, embrace new learning experiences, and continue growing in faith. As parents and guardians, you are your children’s first and most important educators. Your support, encouragement, and partnership with your school community play a vital role in helping every child thrive academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
Catholic education offers a unique opportunity to nurture both the mind and the spirit. Grounded in Gospel values, our schools encourage students to develop their God-given gifts, serve others with compassion, and become responsible citizens who contribute positively to their communities.
As we embark on this new year together, we encourage all families to become actively engaged in school life. Whether through parent councils, volunteer opportunities, school events, or simply maintaining open communication with educators, your involvement strengthens the home, school, and parish partnership that is at the heart of Catholic education.
We recognize that every family’s journey is unique and that challenges may arise along the way. Together, through faith, collaboration, and mutual support, we can help create welcoming, inclusive, and caring learning environments where every child feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.
May this school year be filled with blessings, growth, discovery, and joy. We pray that God guides and protects all students, staff, and families throughout the year ahead.
On behalf of OAPCE, we wish you and your family a successful, faith-filled, and rewarding school year.
God bless,
Ontario Association of Parents in Catholic Education (OAPCE) “Parents Supporting Parents in Catholic Education”
